West Des Moines, Iowa, June 3, 2025: Julie Stauch, Democratic Candidate for Governor, today announced she is officially in the race for Governor. “Today, I am applying for the job of Governor of Iowa and look forward to holding interview sessions across the state for the next year,” said Stauch.
“Iowans are disgusted with our elected leaders, and we want change. We are done with the destruction created by a Governor and Legislators who are destroying every aspect of our state, playing childish games with people’s lives. We value our water, our soil, our children’s futures, our schools, our communities, and our County Governments. We need leaders who embrace those values. I am one of those leaders,” Stauch announced. “The original concept of our state and our national founders was one of elected leaders acting as public servants. That approach exists only in a minority of office holders in Iowa, not the majority.”
Julie Stauch has a reputation of getting **it done. Stauch has served as an expert problem-solver for The Water for Food Institute, The College Board, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, and Super Bowl XXXVI, who have all relied on Julie’s strategic understanding and tactical vision to lead transformative projects. A 5th generation Iowan, Stauch’s visionary leadership has been called upon by more than two-dozen political campaigns ranging from local Iowa races to multiple presidential campaigns and international governmental summits.
