My Pledge to Iowans

Iowans across the state are in agreement on where change is needed: Clean Water, Public Schools, Healthcare, Healthy Soil, Clean air, Poverty, including Food deserts, housing, and childcare.

I will be publishing a short weekly piece, outlining the actions I will take in the early days as your Governor. Some of these topics are easier to address than others. Issues like poverty are more complex, as there are many and varied factors that contribute to the effects of poverty in people’s lives. However, each week, I will highlight one area where people want to see change and the three initial actions I will take to address that issue in our state.

Julie Stauch is a 5th-generation Iowan, small business owner, and professional problem solver. Stauch is a fresh face as a candidate, but not in the political world. Having worked at a high level on campaigns here in Iowa for Mike Franken’s 2022 Senate race against Chuck Grassley, to Presidential campaigns for Pete Buttigieg in 2020, Bill Clinton in 1996, and Michael Dukakis in 1988. Stauch is also the former Chief Public Affairs Officer with Planned Parenthood of the Heartland.
