My Pledge to Iowans on Clean Water

My pledge to Iowans to begin restoring Clean Waters in our state

Day ONE, I will do the following things:

Immediately swear in a new DNR Director and charge them with executing the following work:

• First, reinstate and identify new Clean Water standards for Iowa

• Second, reinstate or establish a timeline for restoring the various stream impairments needed around the state that Reynolds has removed

• Third, define the penalties for violating clean water standards and determine how the enforcement will be executed

Having worked at a high level on campaigns here in Iowa for Mike Franken’s 2022 Senate race against Chuck Grassley, to national and Presidential campaigns for Pete Buttigieg in 2020, Bill Clinton in 1996, and Michael Dukakis in 1988.
